      Houston Brazilian Festival

      The 2011 Houston Brazilian Festival themed Discover Brazil is Houston’s first and only festival dedicated to exploring and celebrating the art, history, life and culture of Brazil.

      Created and hosted by the Brazilian Arts Foundation to further its mission of promoting education, good health and vibrant culture, the 2011 Houston Brazilian Festival invites you to “Discover Brazil” with us. On September 4th, 2011, we will be exploring the cultural roots and history of the fifth largest and most populous country in the world.

      The 2011 Houston Brazilian Festival will showcase dance, art, history, cultural performances and cuisine from across the country.

      An annual family festival event, The Houston Brazilian Festival is proud to have the support of the Consulate General of Brasil in Houston. The event is also supported and funded in part by grants from the City of Houston through the Houston Arts Alliance. Additional support provided by HoustonPress and more to be announced soon!

      About Brazilian Arts Foundation

      The Brazilian Arts Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing cultural education and building community through the preservation and sharing of Brazilian culture. We provide low-cost classes in Capoeira, samba, language, and music, as well as perform across the city, and host events that promote education, good health, and vibrant culture.
